RegRun II is a powerful PC security utility designed to work onWindows 95/98/NT4/2000/ME platforms. This extraordinary softwareconsists of eight sub-systems which work together to provideexceptional control over programs that load from the registry, Windowssystem files, downloads, or user selection. By closely tracking andmanaging all processes, RegRun II can effectively detect hiddentrojan horses, viruses, or other unauthorized programs. RegRun IIbegins its activity before startup other programs, analyzes theWindows registry and initialization files, and warns the user if anychanges occurred. The user can prevent unwanted programs from loading,choose his own startup profile, or debug the startup process using a"sanitized"startup of Windows. New to the RegRun series is virusmoitoring. This is not signature scanning, but rather"infectionscanning". During the session, RegRun II opens and monitors a numberof"bait"program and macro files which are vulnerable to infection byany active virus. If any of these files change, RegRun II will adviseyou, and facilitate your communication with your antivirus supplier byproviding you before and after samples.RegRun II is especially designed for the newest Microsoft Windowsplatforms: Windows ME and Windows 2000, and use their powerfulresources.
